Internships and international mobility

At HEI, we encourage our students to become “citizens of the world.” In fact, we’ve made substantial efforts to expand mobility opportunities in order to provide them with intercultural and international experiences that enhance their university education.

Each year, numerous HEI students participate in exchange programs with foreign universities. Others go abroad to collect research data in the field or take part in for-credit internships. In addition, master’s students can obtain optional credits for certain extracurricular activities that involve student international mobility, such as the National Model United Nations, Model OAS (Organization of American States), and  Université Laval trade missions. These activities also help them to become more aware of other cultures and to connect the dots between theory and practice.

To formalize these global orientations, HEI has concluded nearly ten partnership agreements with other universities and professional schools.
