International relations

An interdisciplinary master's program centered on international relations has been preparing students for exciting international careers since 1987

  • Our master’s program distinguishes itself through an interdisciplinary approach that draws on four core disciplines: political science, law, economic science, and management.
  • HEI graduates quickly move into positions of responsibility in a wide variety of sectors, notably in diplomatic service, but also in international trade and development, journalism, and teaching.

Two types of specialized master's in international relations

  • Professional master’s, requiring a research paper and internship
  • Research master’s, requiring a thesis

A well-structured program

  • Two years of full-time study (45 credits)
  • Individually tailored qualifying courses available if needed
  • Each student receives support from the program administration to develop a personalized course of study
