Sophie Lavallée is a lawyer and full professor at the Faculty of Law. She specializes in environmental law and land use planning law.
She regularly acts as counsel in the fields of environmental law and land use planning, notably for Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation, and Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF/IFDD).
She is a researcher at the Québec Centre for Biodiversity Science (CSBQ) at McGill University and a member of Institut Environnement, développement et société (EDS, Environment, Development and Society Institute).
